Each flip uses crypto.getRandomValues for cryptographically strong randomness rather than Math.random(), giving each coin a genuinely unbiased 50/50 chance. The running tally persists across multiple flips until you reset it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why use crypto.getRandomValues instead of Math.random()?

Math.random() is a pseudo-random generator not designed for unpredictability guarantees, while crypto.getRandomValues draws from the operating system's cryptographically secure random number generator — ensuring each flip is genuinely unbiased with no detectable pattern.

How many coins can I flip at once?

Between 1 and 20 per flip. Flipping multiple coins at once is handy for quickly settling multi-way decisions or running a quick probability demonstration (like checking how often 10 coins land close to a 50/50 split).

Does the running tally reset automatically?

No — the heads/tails/total tally persists across every flip until you click "Reset tally," so you can track the cumulative results of a whole session rather than just the most recent flip.

Is this fair for making real decisions?

Yes — with cryptographically strong randomness, each coin has a mathematically unbiased 50% chance of either outcome, making it as fair as (or fairer than, given human bias in physical coin flips) an actual coin toss.
