Frequently Asked Questions

Does the generated Nginx/Express snippet need to be adjusted for my app?

Almost certainly yes for real use — it fills in the origins, methods, headers, and credentials flag you chose, but you still need to place it inside your actual server setup (e.g. inside the right server block or middleware chain).

What does allowing credentials change about the origin field?

Per the CORS spec, if credentials are allowed you cannot use a wildcard "*" origin. The tool reflects your chosen origin(s) directly, but validating that against the spec's wildcard restriction is your responsibility.

Which frameworks are covered?

Express (using the cors package style), Next.js (API route headers), Vite dev server config, and Nginx add_header directives.

Does it update as I change settings, or do I need to click Generate?

It updates live as you change the origin list, methods, headers, or credentials toggle — no button required.

Can I list multiple origins?

Yes, enter them comma or space separated; the generator joins them appropriately for whichever framework snippet is selected (some frameworks need an array/list, others a single reflected origin).
