What input formats does it accept?
It auto-detects the delimiter in your first line, supporting comma-separated, tab-separated, and pipe-delimited data. Quoted CSV fields containing commas are also handled.
Can I align individual columns?
Yes. Once data is parsed, an alignment row appears letting you set each column to default, left, center, or right, which controls the `:---`, `:---:`, or `---:` markers in the divider row.
What happens if my rows have different numbers of columns?
The table is padded out to the widest row automatically, so shorter rows get empty cells rather than breaking the table structure.
Does it escape pipe characters inside my data?
Yes. Any literal `|` character in a cell is escaped to `\|` so it does not get mistaken for a column separator in the generated Markdown.
Can I turn off the column padding/alignment spacing?
Yes. Untick `Pad columns for readability` to generate a more compact table without extra spaces — GitHub and most renderers treat both forms identically.
