RSS Feed Generator
NewBuild a valid RSS 2.0 XML feed from channel details and a list of items, with copy and download — no CMS or backend required.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the output a fully valid RSS 2.0 feed?
Yes — it includes the required <rss version="2.0"> root, a <channel> with title/link/description, and one <item> per entry with title, link, description, guid, and pubDate, matching the RSS 2.0 specification structure.
How are special characters like & and < handled in titles or descriptions?
All text fields are escaped for XML (&, <, >, ", ') before being inserted into the feed, so titles or descriptions containing ampersands, quotes, or angle brackets won't break the XML.
What format should the pubDate field use?
RFC 822 format, e.g. "Mon, 15 Jan 2024 10:00:00 GMT" — the default items are pre-filled with a correctly formatted current date via toUTCString(), which you can edit or replace for each item.
Can I add or remove feed items freely?
Yes — use "+ Add item" to add a new blank item, or the ✕ button next to any item to remove it. The XML output regenerates live as you edit.
Where would I host the downloaded feed.xml file?
Anywhere that serves static files — upload it to your site's root or a /feed/ path, link to it with a <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml"> tag, and re-generate/re-upload it whenever you publish new content, since this tool does not auto-update a live feed.
