Frequently Asked Questions

Does it validate that my path syntax is correct?

It relies on the browser's native SVG rendering — if the path data is invalid, the browser may render nothing or a partial shape rather than showing a custom syntax error from this tool.

How is the bounding box calculated?

It creates the path in an offscreen SVG element and calls the native getBBox() method, so the reported x/y/width/height match what the browser itself computes for that path.

Can I change the stroke color, width, or fill?

Yes. Stroke color, stroke width, and fill color/none are all adjustable and update the rendered preview live.

Does it support multiple subpaths in one "d" string?

Yes, since it renders the path data exactly as the browser's SVG engine interprets it, including multiple M/m subpath commands within a single d attribute.

Is the grid to scale with real SVG units?

The grid is drawn in the same viewBox coordinate space as the path, so grid lines correspond to SVG user units, not fixed pixels independent of the viewBox.
