Not every task board needs drag-and-drop complexity. This Kanban board keeps the classic To Do / In Progress / Done workflow but moves tasks between columns with a simple, fast, and fully keyboard-accessible dropdown.

What Is the Kanban Board?

Add tasks to a “To Do” column, and move them through “In Progress” to “Done” using a per-task dropdown — everything is saved automatically in your browser’s local storage, so your board persists between visits without any account or server.

How to Use It

  1. Open the tool at /tools/kanban-board.
  2. Type a task and click Add — it starts in “To Do”.
  3. Use the dropdown on each task card to move it between columns.
  4. Remove finished tasks with the ✕ button, or clear the whole board at once.

Key Features

  • Simple dropdown-based column moves, no drag-and-drop required.
  • Automatic local storage persistence across visits on the same browser.
  • Clean three-column workflow matching standard Kanban conventions.
  • No login, no server, no tracking of your task content.

When to Use This Tool

  • Personal task tracking for a day, sprint, or short project.
  • A quick shared board during a meeting, displayed on a shared screen.
  • Learning the basic Kanban workflow before adopting a heavier project management tool.
