Getting SPF and DMARC record syntax exactly right — correct mechanisms, quoting, pct=, rua=mailto: — is fiddly and a single mistake can break email authentication. This tool builds both from plain form fields instead.
What Is the SPF / DMARC Record Generator?
Switch between the SPF and DMARC tabs, fill in your mail senders, policy, and reporting addresses, and get a correctly formatted DNS TXT record string ready to paste into your domain’s DNS zone.
How to Use It
- Open the tool at /tools/spf-dmarc-generator.
- On the SPF tab, list your sending mail servers (
include:,ip4:,mx, etc.) and choose an “all” mechanism. - On the DMARC tab, set your policy, reporting email, and percentage.
- Copy the generated record and publish it as a TXT record at the indicated host.
Key Features
- Both SPF and DMARC in one tool, with the correct DNS host shown for each.
- All four SPF “all” mechanisms explained inline (hard fail, soft fail, neutral, pass).
- Full DMARC tag support: policy, subdomain policy, aggregate/forensic reporting, percentage.
- Copy-ready output, formatted exactly as DNS providers expect.
When to Use This Tool
- Setting up email authentication for a new domain without memorizing exact SPF/DMARC syntax.
- Adding a new mail-sending service (like SendGrid or Google Workspace) to an existing SPF record correctly.
- Rolling out DMARC gradually, starting at
p=nonefor monitoring before moving toquarantine/reject.
