How to Use the Alarm Clock — WebdevToolbox Guide

Set an alarm for a specific time of day and get an audible chime plus a browser notification when it rings, right from your browser tab.

No app install, no account — just pick a time, keep the tab open, and get a chime plus a notification when it’s time.

What Is the Alarm Clock?

A browser-based alarm that lets you set a specific wall-clock time (with an optional label), then rings using the Web Audio API and fires a browser notification if you’ve granted permission — all tracked against a live-updating current-time display.

How to Use It

  1. Open the tool at /tools/alarm-clock.
  2. Pick a time and optionally a label.
  3. Click Set alarm, then keep the tab open until it rings.

Key Features

  • Live current-time display updating every second, so you always know exactly what the browser sees as “now.”
  • Automatic next-day scheduling if the chosen time has already passed today.
  • Optional browser notifications, in addition to the built-in audible chime.
  • Fully client-side, nothing ever leaves your browser.

When to Use This Tool

  • Quick one-off reminders without installing a separate alarm app.
  • Timed breaks during focused work sessions, paired with a specific clock time rather than a countdown.
  • Testing notification and audio behavior in a browser-based workflow.

Try It Now

Open Alarm Clock directly, or press ⌘K and type the tool name from anywhere on the site.
