Privacy Policy
Your privacy is our top priority. Web Developer Toolbox is designed from the ground up to protect your data — all tools run entirely in your browser.
Last updated: July 3, 2025
TL;DR — The short version
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. All tools process data 100% client-side in your browser. Nothing you type — passwords, JWTs, API keys, code — is ever sent to a server.
1. Introduction
Web Developer Toolbox ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website located at webdevtoolbox.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit and use our Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you disagree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Service.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because every tool on Web Developer Toolbox runs entirely inside your browser using client-side JavaScript, we do not collect or have access to:
- Passwords, API keys, private keys, or secrets you enter into any tool
- JWT tokens, session tokens, or authentication credentials
- JSON payloads, code, SQL queries, or any other text inputs
- Files you upload for processing (e.g., CSV, image, or binary files)
- Output or results generated by any tool
Your sensitive data never leaves your device.
3. Analytics and Usage Data
We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools (such as aggregated page view counts) to understand how visitors use the Service. Any such data is fully anonymised and cannot be used to identify individual users. We do not use Google Analytics or any tracking pixels that profile individual behavior across websites.
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google's advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
Web Developer Toolbox uses browser localStorage solely to save your theme preference (dark/light mode) across sessions. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us.
Third-party advertising services (Google AdSense) may set cookies in your browser. These cookies are governed by Google's own Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Third-Party Services
Our website may interact with the following third-party services:
- Google AdSense — displays relevant advertisements. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- CDN / hosting providers — serve static assets. Access logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) may be retained for security and abuse prevention in accordance with the provider's own privacy policy.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
8. Contact Us
