Please read these terms carefully before using Web Developer Toolbox. By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Web Developer Toolbox at webdevtoolbox.com (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Web Developer Toolbox provides a collection of free, browser-based developer utilities including — but not limited to — JSON formatters, encoders/decoders, code formatters, hash generators, password generators, UUID generators, CSS tools, and text transformation tools.

All tools run entirely client-side in your browser. No data you enter is transmitted to our servers. The Service is provided free of charge with no account or sign-up required.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Engage in automated scraping, crawling, or bulk data extraction beyond normal browser use
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates any applicable laws or third-party rights
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile any component of the Service

4. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Web Developer Toolbox and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You are free to use the output of any tool (generated UUIDs, formatted JSON, hashed values, generated CSS, etc.) for any personal or commercial purpose without attribution. The underlying source code of the tools themselves may be subject to separate open-source licences where applicable.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; (b) the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable; or (c) any errors in the Service will be corrected.

Do not use Web Developer Toolbox as the sole verification method for security-critical operations. Always validate cryptographic outputs independently.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Web Developer Toolbox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and display advertisements provided by third-party networks including Google AdSense. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.

8. Modifications to the Service and Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the terms were last revised. Continued use of the Service after any revisions constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through appropriate legal channels.
